Fridays for Future – 3. Mai 2019

Am 3. Mai trafen sich die Teilnehmer der Friday for Future Demonstration auf dem Stuttgarter Marktplatz. Nach mehreren Reden, diskutierten sie auf dem Platz in mehreren Themengruppen um danach mit einem langen Demozug durch die Innenstadt für eine ernstzunehmende zeitnahe Klimapolitik zu demonstrieren.
Hier sind einige Impressionen und ein kleines Video der Demo.The participants of „Friday for Future“ met on the market square in Stuttgart. After several speeches, they discussed in several thematic groups and then they walked through the whole city centre for a serious and timely climate policy.

Zudem möchte ich bei dieser Gelegenheit ein Video von Harald Lesch ans Herz legen. Er zeigt in wenigen Minuten auf, dass einiges getan werden kann, wenn es gewollt wäre. Auch wenn viele Menschen die Themen oft vereinfachend für zu groß oder unlösbar erklären und damit schlicht vom Tisch wischen – die Klimawende muß jetzt ernsthaft angegangen werden. Hier muß Industrie und Wissenschaft zusammen schnell handeln! Auf die Politik zu warten ist, wie sich in vielen Jahren und auch an aktuellen Reaktionen zum Thema deutlich zeigt, schlicht zwecklos. Falls das Thema überhaupt mal wirklich ernstgenommen werden sollte – die ewigen Diskussionen und letztlich die Umsetzung ist dann sowieso viel zu langsam!I like to take this opportunity to recommend a video from a German scientist Harald Lesch. He shows in a few minutes that a lot can be done if it were desired. Even if many people often simplify the topics by declaring them too big or not possible and then simply wipe them off the table – the climate change must be done now seriously! Industry and science must act quickly together! It is simply pointless to wait for politics, as has been clearly shown in many years and also by current reactions on the subject. If the topic should be taken at all times seriously the eternal discussions and in the long run the conversion is finally too slow!
